Healthy and back on the field again!

Yes, it's been some time since, I wrote my last blog, so I think, it's time to update!
It's been a crazy weekend, and I've been sick all weekend - even though I had many plans....
First I was supposed to go to a meet with XC (cross country), but then I was too sick to run after the warm up, so I went home with the middle school - an hour before the high school went home.
I was so sad that I had to leave my second race, and that I couldn't race, but I was really sick, so I went home.
The same day I had an YFU event, I've been looking really much forward to, but again I was too sick, so I stayed home in bed under my blanket and drank a lot of tea and ate nothing but soup and dry bread.
It sounds okay to me, but right now I got enough of soup for a long time! :)

The next day my family or my host mom and the kids went to church, while my host dad and I stayed home in our beds and watched movies and played games, because both of us were sick.

But when it came to Monday, I went to school - even though I felt sick. I just wanted to give it a shot, but I should have stayed home.... so when it came to lunch, my friends followed me to the office, so the nurse could check me, and call my host mom. I went home and spend all my time in my bed and just wandering around... didn't feel like doing anything.
After that experience Monday, we agreed that I should stay home Tuesday, so I could be good again, and it was needed!!! :)
I was really sick Tuesday as well, so a day off was more than needed, and it helped a lot.

Today it's Wednesday, and I've been to school today. It was really good to see my friends again, and to be doing something, instead of just laying in my bed all day and eating soup as you anyway wanted to throw up...

I've never been sick like that before. It must have been a cold that was around, because I was apparently not the only one, since many of my friends and other students have been through or are having the same...
I had a headache in my head, it hurt in my ears and my throat, and I felt like throwing up after eating anything.

But I am good now, and I've been to practise today, which was really good and hard. We were having a hard workout again, and it was a even harder workout than the one two weeks ago.
But it didn't hurt so much as last time, and it was actually possible for me to breath between the runs!! :)

Tomorrow it's Thursday, and I am going to do XC, and make my homework, and then Friday, they are having a football game at the high school, so I am definately going. I will promise to take some pictures and put them in here, so you can see them. I am sorry, that you haven't seen more pictures, but I've been a little bit, too, busy to do it.

Saturday I have plans about movie night or going out shopping with one of my friends from lunch and Chemestry. She's really nice, and I hope, we are going to do it!!! :)

For the people who are reading my blog and considering to take a year abroad, as I am doing: DO IT! You won't regret. It is hard from time to time, but it's so much better than hard, and it's worth it!!! :) I can't give you a better advice, than DO IT! Don't dream it, but do it! :)
I love every minute, and I am so happy that I made this decision! This is really amazing :D

Love it! And I hope, you love it too! No matter, where you are in the world. :)

Love, smile and many American hugs,

Julie :D
