Smiling for the future!

Hi everyone.
I got new running shoes, and I am back on field again.
I am so happy. I just arrived from a good run - even though I could barely breath... it was still awesome!!

I thought it was December 1st today, so I wrote that on facebook, but I now realize that it's not. But except it actually is - kind of - for me. I am definitely i Christmas mood!
We have just decorated the house, and I can tell you - we got a lot of Christmas stuff.
When I am walking the dog with Mary, I can tell you, it is so beautiful. And some people are just crazy - the way they are decorating their houses. :)

Tomorrow a girl from Germany will come visit me, and she'll stay over for a sleep over. That is all very exciting. I am going to show her this amazing Canal Winchester, and I hope she's as excited as me. On Sunday we are both going for a color run! It's going to be really fun!

I hope, you are all doing good. I am doing better. I am looking forward and taking the changes as an experience, and as a new journey. I like the new direction, and I am excited by everything and everyone around me.
And by the way, I got Monday off from school!!! This is an amazing weekend, and every day is beautiful. Remember to appreciate your family. They mean everything!

Love,
Julie <3

A new beginning :)

Hello everybody :)
I hope, you are all having a good time :)

Today I moved to a new host family, and I have my own personal reasons for doing that, so I don't feel like explaining further.

I live close to the high school now - I can actually walk, and I got my own big room with everything I need. I am really grateful and happy for this.

I live with a host mom, a host dad, an aunt, and a grandma, and they are really nice. They also got a daughter.

I am sorry, it's been so long since I last texted, so I hope you are all fine with now :)

Take care, and I will see you soon,

Julie :)

Halloween and other fun stuff

Hello!
Hope, you are all doing great!
I am really doing good.
It's a nice Friday today, and a beginning of a new month! :)
Today had been a really good day for me. I went to school early in the morning - before the sun woke up, and I started the day with ceramics(en klasse, hvor man arbejder med ler).
It is really funny, and we've just started on a new project called: Food as art.
We have to design and sketch a fun kind of food/meal, we wanna make, and I chose to make a plate with french fries and fish out of clay. After that we have to glaze it, so it looks like real food with the real colors.

It is a fun project, and ceramics is the perfect way to start the day. I really much enjoy it!

After Ceramics, I went to Social Studies, where we had to vote like Kids vote, it was called. After we voted, we got a sticker, we could wear the rest of the day, so people could see that we had voted.
Many of the teachers commented to me: "Wow, a girl from Denmark voted in America. That's an experience!" They were really making fun of it, and I don't blame them. It was really fun, and I will put my sticker in my diary tonight, because that's incredible! :) HAHAHAH
After social studies I went to choir, where we are singing Christmas songs, and I really love the songs - even though they are kind of difficult and fast - they are beautiful! :) I love the CHOIR!
We are even singing a German song, so that is pretty nice, and good for me - since it's so long time ago, I had German. I will probably forget the language, when I go back home again....

To make good things better, we had a Pizza Party in my English class today, so we only got half an hour of English, and then we got an hour, where we ate Pizza and hang out with each other. It was very enjoyable. I was sitting with some good friends, and we had a lot of fun.
After that Pizza Party I went to my theater class, where we are playing the plays, we wrote. I wrote a play about a guy who got a call from his mom, because she would like to come for a visit. He panicked, because he wanted to spent his night and weekend on his own, and by that he pretends to be sick. After that phone call, he starts feeling sick for real, and he got visit from a Dark Stranger that makes him go through hard things which makes him blind, unable to speak, and in a very bad conditioning. After the dark Stranger leaves the stage, a Light Stranger enters, and the Light stranger helps him to solve the problem.
The guy falls asleep and wakes up. The first thing, he does, is calling his mom and begging her to come for a visit. That's also why my play is called: Are you coming for a visit?

We also had Halloween this week, and it was a really good - even though my host family is sick, and it was ice cold, we still got a good experience out of it.
We went from house to house, and people where waiting for us in their garage with big bowls of candy, and even though I am not too big to go trick or treating yet, I still felt uncomfortable to ask for candy, so I only did it, when the people had good candy, and when they smiled at me.
I would have loved to dress up as I did to the Halloween party last week, but I didn't feel like dressing up, when it was simply too cold, so I just grabbed a cowboy hat, and that was my costume.
Last week I dressed up like a real cowgirl with boots, hat, braids, pants, west, and all that kind of stuff you wear as a cowgirl. That was really funny.
You should see the house here in America, they are really scary and funny. It's even worse than Christmas in Denmark. You can also get a lot of stuff with pumpkin flavor in the malls and cafe's. It's really funny, but very good. I love pumpkin!:)

This is nice, and I am going for another costume party tomorrow night, and an international festival with my area rep. tomorrow.  I am excited. See you all later. Take care! :)

Remember: Enjoy every moment - every day! You never know, when it ends!

Julie :)
